London
Law has a worldwide capability to provide all the
international company information you require.
What is
available. All EU countries hold data on the formation
of The company, annual reports and financial data.
Other countries will only have basic formation details
and an annual report. All the data will be in the
language of the country.
Extracts are
obtained from the local registry and, if they are
disclosed, the financial accounts. Local registry
information will vary depending on the filing
requirements of each jurisdiction and also the size of
the company. We advise what is available before
commencing the search, but please bear in mind registry
searches are provided in the local language. We offer a
translation service.
Credit reports can be delivered quickly from many
jurisdictions, often the same day.
Our credit report on a company normally include:
- the address of the company
- the telephone number and fax number
- any trade name the business uses
- activities of the company
- names of the senior personnel
- number of employees
- local knowledge from suppliers, banks or other
creditors
- offices or property owned or used by the company
- details of available trade references
- the company's principal bankers
- financial information (if available)
- the status and history of the company
When available we can obtain Certificates of Good
Standing or equivalent, copies of Memorandum & Articles
of Association/Bye-laws, copy of the Certificate of
Incorporation and financial accounts.
Trademark
searches and registration
A
trademark will consist of words, designs, letters, numerals or the shape
of the goods or their packaging. It is sensible to register your own
trademark. You can also search the details of existing trademarks.
68 countries, mainly
European, are members of the Madrid Protocol. This enables London Law to
quickly search whether a trademark exists in these 68 countries; to then
register the trademark in UK for the applicant and then request
recognition in the other 67 countries. Rejection by one country
will not effect the application for the other countries. We can also
undertake trademark searches in many other countries. Contact London Law
for all your Trademark requests and advice.
The
reports can be produced for most of the world and take 1 day to 4 weeks
to produce dependent on the level of urgency and the country being
searched. The London Law reports will be in English unless otherwise
specified.
Mortgage
and Charge searches
Many
countries will have a centralised register of commercial property
secured transactions. In these countries the liens are normally
referred to as charges. There is a Uniform Commercial Code for personal
and corporate securities in the
USA and Canada and a similar form in New Zealand. In most offshore
countries companies can elect not to have charges filed against them
making a search of status questionable.
A UK
Conveyancing Search provides details of any charges outstanding on the
UK company's file, which affect, or may affect, a given property, or
provide details of all outstanding charges at a given date.
